Cooking & Wine Tasting

Greetings Everyone,

The third video has arrived!  Two weeks ago we had a cooking class and a wine tasting class.  The cooking class was conducted in Italian.  In the cooking class, we learned how to make our own pasta - from making the dough to rolling the dough into a pasta strand.  In addition, we were taught how to make pasta sauce, tiramisu, and pizza.  We cooked and ate all of these items by the end of the class.  It was a lot of fun and delicious!  All of the students were divided into three groups since the cooking area had limited space.

Later in the week, we had an hour long wine tasting course.  With such limited time, it was obviously an overview.  We learned about the various types of wines and why "people sit around and talk about the wine they're drinking."  This course was especially hopeful for me since I have not been much of a wine drinker.  This overview provided me needed background of wine and has helped me to appreciate wine more.  In fact, I think I am becoming a wine drinker!  Of course, I am in the right country for such a transformation.

I hope you enjoy the video.  I am hoping to have the next video up within two weeks.  This past weekend we went up to the Alps!!  As a result there is a large amount of footage to go through.  But moreover, I want to conduct some interviews from other students about their highlights of the trip to add to the video.
